DEKAL is busy preparing the release of the new album "The Dreamwalker" . It has a little bit for everyone, but mostly, taps my noise heritage, but scaled back in a way. it also features some backing vocals from Dorian James as well as some bass work by him. Cash Allen has performed as front man for many iterations of DEKAL before the band was such named. previously called december god, DEKAL thus genrated from DEecember god Kasimir ALlen.
Kasimir Allen is my name. I live in SoCAL but have lived all over the US and have traveled the world. Many of the songs are self centered expressions of rage and angst under a veil of noise and occasional pop emo vocalisations. Rage doesn't have to be expressed as screaming and can certainly be demonstrated in a cool and calculated expression. Clearly this approach to rage has it's parallels in the cold calculated manner of subverted agency activity; media marketing and sales in general. You can buy clothing; purchase a CD or some tracks, but you don't have to be a fanatic unless of course some hole in your soul requires your allegiance to human mob comfort in which case; please by all means possible tell your associates throughout the world about DEKAL.
I believe artists have an innate right to their musical and visual creations as outlined in the copyright laws of the united states of america. It is unfortunate that artists; either through ignorance, or short term thinking sign the rights to their songs away to a corporation without thought, all for the sake of distribution and handling? This paradigm is no longer necessary in this digital age and as such individual respect for the artist can replace the scheme of centralised distribution. While true that the mainframe has re-emerged as the tool of the digital age; it is also true that you can make an honest choice to support artists that create music you like to listen to. If any of my music becomes part of the soundtrack of your life; is it worth 50 cents? a dollar? considering you probably spend 3-4 dollars on a cup of coffee at starbucks which gives you satisfaction for say 20 minutes? does giving me a dollar seem outrageous?
